Tourvo is your go-to outdoor clothing and equipment rental company. We offer high-quality gear for hiking, camping, skiing, and more. Rent what you need, enjoy your adventure, and return it hassle-free!

What types of outdoor clothing and equipment can I rent?

We offer a wide range of items, including waterproof jackets, hiking boots, thermal layers, backpacks, tents, and more. Whatever your adventure, we’ve got you covered!

How does the rental process work?

It's simple! Browse our collection, select your items, choose your rental dates, and check out. We’ll deliver the gear to you, and once your adventure is over, just send it back.

Where is Tourvo located, and do you ship nationwide?

We are based in the Reykjavik greater area and can deliver items nationwide. However, deliveries outside the Reykjavik area may incur additional costs. Please contact us at tourvo@tourvo.is for details.

Where can I pick up and return my order?

You can pick up and return your order at our pick-up point located at Útilíf, Skeifan 11d, 108 Reykjavík. Please note, this is a store we partner with, not our own location. Click here to view on Google Maps.

2. Rental Process

How do I make a reservation?

Just choose your gear, select your dates, and place your order. It’s as easy as that!

Can I try on clothing before renting?

Since we don’t have a physical store, we encourage you to use our detailed sizing tables to choose the correct size. However, we always carry extra clothing when driving around, so if something doesn’t fit, you’ll have the opportunity to change. We're committed to providing excellent customer service, so if there’s an issue, we’ll find a solution!

How far in advance should I place my order?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak seasons. However, bookings must be completed at least 24 hours in advance. For Short Notice Bookings (less than 24 hours), please contact us directly via email or phone to make arrangements.

Can I extend my rental period?

Yes! Just contact us before your rental period ends, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. Note that rental extensions are subject to availability and approval by Tourvo. Additional fees apply based on the standard daily rate

What if the item I want is out of stock?

If something is unavailable, we’ll recommend the best alternatives. Feel free to reach out to us for help!

3. Payment & Pricing

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards. The same card used for booking must remain valid throughout the rental period.

Are there any deposits or security holds required?

Some high-value items may require a refundable security deposit. Additionally, your credit card may be charged if products are returned damaged, lost, or misused.

Do you offer group discounts or special packages?

Yes! We offer discounts for group rentals and longer rental periods. Contact us for a personalized quote.

Are there any hidden fees?

Nope! What you see is what you get. Our pricing is transparent, and we never hit you with surprise charges.

4. Delivery & Returns

How are items delivered and returned?

We offer convenient delivery and return options. Items are delivered between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Returns follow a similar process, and we provide instructions for an easy return experience.

Can I pick up and return items in person?

Yes, you can! Items can be picked up at Útilíf, Skeifan 11d, 108 Reykjavík, during specified hours.

What happens if I return items late?

Late returns may incur additional fees. If not returned within three days, you may be charged the full value of the product. Once charged, the product belongs to you. Contact us immediately if you’re running behind schedule.

What if I need to cancel or modify my reservation?

No problem! Contact us as soon as possible at tourvo@tourvo.is. Cancellation fees apply depending on how far in advance you cancel:

  • Free cancellation (minus 5% transaction fee) if made at least 7 days before the rental date.
  • 80% refund if cancelled 1-4 days before the rental date.
  • No refund if cancelled within 3 days of the rental date. (changed)

What if I miss my delivery or pickup?

If no one is present at the agreed delivery or pickup time, our staff will wait for 30 minutes. After that, your booking may be marked as a “no-show,” and you will lose your right to receive the product without refund.

5. Care & Maintenance

How should I care for the items during my rental?

Treat them as if they’re your own! Avoid harsh conditions where possible and follow any specific care instructions we provide.

What if the item gets damaged or lost?

Accidents happen! Contact us right away. Minor damage might just require a small fee, but lost or severely damaged items may be charged at their replacement cost. Excessively dirty or stained items will incur a 5,000 ISK cleaning fee.

Do I need to clean items before returning them?

Nope! We take care of all cleaning and maintenance. Just pack them up and send them back.

How do I choose the right size?
