Regulamin

General

By renting from Tourvo ehf., reg. no. 700125-2030 ("Tourvo", "we", "us"), you agree to these terms. Please read them before you book and pay.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Icelandic króna (ISK) and include Icelandic VAT, cleaning and handling. Prices in other currencies on the site are estimates only. You pay the full amount, including any delivery fees, when you book.

Payment is made by card on Teya's secure payment page; we never see or store your card details. If gear is lost, damaged or returned late (see below), we may charge the card used for the booking or send you an invoice.

Rental days

You pay for the days of your trip, counted like hotel nights: a trip from the 14th to the 19th is 5 days. You get the gear the day before your trip at no extra cost and return it on the last day of the trip. Prices per day go down the longer you rent.

Booking ahead

Online bookings must start at least 2 days after the day you book. For anything sooner, call +354 477 7999 or email tourvo@tourvo.is and we'll do our best. For short-notice bookings we can't promise a particular colour, and delivery times may be less exact.

Getting and returning the gear

You choose how to get and return the gear: pick up and drop off at Útilíf, Skeifan 11d, 108 Reykjavík, or have us deliver and collect at your hotel or address in the capital area. The details, fees and times are in our Delivery and collection policy.

Changes and cancellations

To change or cancel a booking, email tourvo@tourvo.is with your booking number. Refunds follow our Cancellation and refund policy. We'll do our best to accommodate changes, but we can't guarantee longer rentals or other sizes or colours.

Late returns and extensions

If you can't return the gear on time, tell us straight away. We may be able to extend your rental, depending on availability. Extra days are charged at the price for a single day of rental as listed on tourvo.is, and invoiced by email.

If you don't agree an extension with us, a late fee equal to one day's rental is charged for every day the gear is late. If you haven't told us and the gear isn't back within 3 days after your rental ends, we may charge the full value of the gear, after which it becomes yours.

Using the gear

Please treat the gear with care. Don't expose it to smoke or strong smells, and keep it free of make-up, oils and other stains that would stop us renting it again. If you rent gear for an activity with unavoidable smells, such as horse riding, tell us when you book.

Damage, loss and liability

If gear is broken, lost or stolen during your rental, the full value may be charged to your card. Where we can repair it or replace a part, we charge only that cost. Gear returned very dirty, stained or smelling of smoke has a cleaning fee of 5.000 kr.

Tell us straight away if gear is damaged or lost, and if anything is faulty when you receive it. Tourvo isn't responsible for discomfort, allergic reactions or problems from fit; please check our size guides. If something doesn't fit, contact us and we'll bring another size free of charge.

Colours and photos

Gear may look slightly different from the photos. You can ask for a colour; if it isn't available, you get a 15% discount on the booking, and that booking is then non-refundable.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on tourvo.is when you book applies to your booking.
